     Cadillac got caught cheating on exhaust emissions compliance (among other things) and scarce corporate resources can't be Cadillac's excuse.  Such "mistakes" obviously reflect a corporate cultural tolerance for certain kinds of ethical misconduct.  So it's reasonable to be skeptical of what GM has told us about the commercial prospects for electric cars. . . .
